Stitch your purchased PDF charts digitally

Many counted charts come as PDFs with dozens of pages. The import reads the grid, symbols and thread key and joins all pages into one single pattern that you can tick off stitch by stitch in the editor.

  • Heaven and Earth Designs (HAED): multi-page chart packs including the overlap between pages.
  • Paine Free Crafts: charts with a symbol key and numbered pages.
  • DMC: coloured charts from the free DMC patterns.

The publisher is recognised automatically and shown on the pattern. Imported PDF charts are protected by copyright: they stay private in your atelier and can neither be shared nor downloaded again.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account for the PDF import?

Yes. Imported patterns are stored in your personal atelier, so you need to be signed in.

Is my PDF file uploaded?

No. The PDF is read in your browser. Only the resulting stitching pattern is saved to your account.

Are backstitches taken over from the PDF?

Not yet. The import currently reads the cross stitches and the thread key. Work the backstitch lines from the original chart.

My PDF is not recognised. Why?

The import needs a PDF with real text or coloured squares, not a scanned photo. Charts from other publishers may be laid out differently.
